As the AI revolution takes shapes and evolves further, so do the challenges as new security protocol scenarios in the future and current cybersecurity landscape. Advancement and innovation in security management capabilities enable organizations to improve defensive tactics while enabling nation-states and criminal and security organizations to improve offensive and counteractive tactics. It is under this premise and context that Bharat Exhibitions today organized the 1st Bharat AI Cyber and Automation Summit 2025 at The Shangri La, New Delhi. As such the core theme of the Bharat AI, Cyber& Automation Summit 2025 was centred on “Building a Smart, Secure and Automated India” was perfectly positioned to enable and facilitate discussions, conversations, discovery of challenges and the emergence of potential opportunities.

Bharat AI Cyber and Automation Summit 2025 or BAICAS2025 gave exposure to issues related to the subject, allowing speakers to present new AI based cyber security scenarios and ongoing developmental research and development in this areaincluding an exchange of ideasand a discussion on the future directions in the fields of artificial intelligence and cyber security.

The purpose of the Summit was to raise awareness of cyber security, promote the potential of industrial applicationsso that it could facilitate a healthy conversation among the Cyberand Information security leaders of today, who are challenged to manage risks for organization or establishment in terms of their cybersecurity approach and adopted position emanating from generative and non-generative AI, the Automation of Cyber protocols and AI development.

Speakers and delegates at the conference were unanimously of the view that Cyber& Information Security programs and processes require significant investments and deployment of people and technology resources to deliver cybersecurity solutions and services to reduce risks. It was also deemed and positioned that increasingly, strategic, high-value internal resources are invested or deployed on manual intervention in current day cybersecurity efforts. It was surmised and discussed that in this new AI based hyperconnected and enabled world,as to how CISOs and cyber protocol professionals would respond and strategize about meeting their customer and business commitments, while maintaining security-compliant, future ready IT environments, in a cost efficient way.

BAICAS 2025 served as the perfectly positioned and opinion influence platform that brought together thought leaders, AI and Cyber domain experts, government representatives, and technology pioneers to explore the transformative impact of artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, and automation on India’s future. As India rapidly advances towards achieving its vision of a digitally empowered nation, the summit served as a critical forum for discussing how these technologies are shaping industries, enhancing security, and fostering innovation across sectors. It reflects India’s ambition to harness cutting-edge technologies to drive economic growth, strengthen its cyber resilience, and automate processes across industries to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Mr. Shashi Dharan, Managing Director, Bharat Exhibitions in his welcome speech said, “By 2030, India’s enterprises will operate with AI-enabled security operations centers (SOCs), capable of real-time cyber risk detection and automated response mechanisms. AI will be integrated into national cyber security policies, ensuring data sovereignty and cyber resilience.  As India embraces AI-powered innovation, it is critical for cyber security protocols to be embeddedinto every stage of AI adoption. Whether in banking, healthcare, or national security, India has the opportunity to emerge as the global hub for AI innovation and a leader in AI-driven cyber security”.

Guest of Honour, Shri A. Robert J. Ravi, Chairman & Managing Director, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limitedin his address was heard quoting, “AI led service quality, 4G handset bundling, expeditious BharatNet 3 are priority areas for BSNL as the 6G Cyber network. Over the next few months, our efforts will be laser focused on these areas, ensuring top class network performance, and simplifying service accessibility to make BSNL the preferred choice for customers. We currently have around 95 million subscribers and are constantly working to expand. Multiple steps like network modernization, process simplification, customer centric approach, and competitive approach are some of the areas we are working round the clock.”

Shri Arvind Kumar, Director General, Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) said in his speech, “AI is projected to contribute $957 billion to India’s GDP by 2030. AI is going to change the landscape of many domains, cyber security be one of its pivotal area. It can generate the next step of what is going to happen next, with the help of Generative AI. It can automate processes, detecting anomalies etc. It can become the natural choice for cyber security processes. Threat hunting, stock operations, cyber secured training and deployment are areas where AI will play major role. STPI has 7 to 8 AI centred start ups running successfully”.

Shri B. Shanker Jaiswal, IPS, Joint Commissioner of Police (Technology, Cyber & Licensing), Delhi Policewho also joined in a as Guest of Honour, spoke on AI Automation leading to accidentally discovering AI platforms that self develop high risk and critical risk tools to break down cyber security barriers. “Automation, AI and Security, are muchrelevant and contemporary in today’s era of constant digital transformative. With Symbolic AI now being replaced by Generative AI, we are in the midst of a difficult cyber security terrain, in the context of safe city projects and national security systemsWe should be ready to face complexities in the field of AI. With AI and Automation, Threat Assessment and Deepfake Detection becomes imperative and better managed, with scalability.” Mr. Jaiswal said.

Mr. Golok Kumar Simli, Principal Adviser and CTO, Passport Seva Programme, Ministry of External Affairs shared his views on the Summit though video conferencing. He said, “The essence of AI is to create a safe, secured Bharat. Threat detection and grievances, monitor real time threats and take pre active action and isolate those threats advancing any portal. We can also leverage the potential of AI in terms of creating a safe environment in a digital infrastructure.”
