The new RACM65S-K/277 AC/DC module from RECOM is a cost-effective solution that sets a new standard for power density, delivering up to 65W from a compact, encapsulated PCB-mount design measuring just 52.5mm × 40mm × 25mm with standard P12+ pinning. It supports a wide universal input range of 85–305VAC and is rated for over-voltage category III (OVC III) up to 3,000 meters, and up to 5,000 meters for its encapsulated versions (OVC II). The module achieves efficiency above 90%, even at loads as low as 10%, while its typical no-load power consumption remains under 100mW. Multiple fixed-output options are available—5V, 12V, 15V, 24V, 36V, and 52VDC—each providing comprehensive protection against short-circuit, over-voltage, and over-current conditions.
International safety certifications are available for medical, industrial, and household applications, with operation at ambient temperatures of up to 90°C. The modules comply with EMC standard EN 55032 Class B for floating outputs and, with grounded outputs, by the /OIB and /EIB variants. In medical applications, the parts are rated 2MOPP and are suitable for BF applications.
A version of the RACM65S-K/277 is also available as an open-frame chassis-mount module with an optional cover, measuring 79mm x 40.8mm x 32mm.
