Mouser Electronics, the industry’s leading New Product Introduction (NPI) distributor with the widest selection of semiconductors and electronic components, is now stocking the CC330xMOD SimpleLink Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth Low Energy companion modules from Texas Instruments. The CC330xMOD modules are pre-certified to simplify hardware design and decrease time-to-market. They allow engineers to add wireless connectivity to retail automation and payment applications, printers, grid infrastructure, medical devices, consumer appliances, and building and home automation applications.
The TI CC330xMOD SimpleLink modules, now at Mouser, enable the latest Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) standards while maintaining compatibility with Wi-Fi 4 (802.11 b/g/n). The CC330xMOD family consists of the CC3300MOD, a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 6 companion module, and the CC3301MOD, a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth Low Energy 5.4 companion module.
The CC330xMOD SimpleLink Companion Modules are based on the 10th-generation connectivity combo chip from Texas Instruments and are designed for easy integration into any application. The companion modules feature a highly flexible digital interface to the host processor (MPU or MCU), and users can choose any combination of secure digital input output (SDIO), serial peripheral interface (SPI), or universal asynchronous receiver-transmitter (UART) for shared Wi-Fi and BLE communication. The CC330xMOD SimpleLink modules are ideal for cost-sensitive embedded applications with a Linux or RTOS host running TCP/IP. The CC330xMOD modules are available in a compact, easy-to-use 11 × 11 mm2 LGA package.
