Lane Electronics is a specialist distributor of HellermannTyton heat shrink products, including boots, moulded shapes, tubing, and adhesives designed for connectors and cable assemblies. These components are widely used to insulate and protect electrical systems across industries such as aerospace, defense, automotive, rail, renewable energy, electronics, and heavy-duty agricultural and construction vehicles.

The moulded heat shrink shapes are available either as standalone components, with both adhesive-lined and non-lined versions kept in stock, or as part of fully assembled connector systems supplied by Weald Electronics, Lane Electronics’ sister company.

HellermannTyton heat shrink boots are designed to create reliable, watertight seals for connectors and cable assemblies while also providing strain relief and environmental protection. They combine easy installation with strong electrical insulation, mechanical durability, and excellent resistance to chemicals and harsh operating conditions.

In addition to connector boots, heat shrink moulded shapes such as transition shapes, breakout / multi-leg shapes and end caps are used to protect cable harness junctions and complex assemblies.  All HellermannTyton heat shrink products combine easy installation with high electrical strength, mechanical durability, flame retardancy (LSZH options), and superior chemical resistance, making them ideal for harsh operating environments.

Main Features include:

  • Heat-shrinkable strain-relieving boots for connector backshell to cable transitions.
  • Specialised shapes available in a wide range of sizes, materials and adhesive options
  • Ultra compact size 01 heat shrink boots for Autosport / Motorsport connectors available exclusively from Lane Electronics / Lane Motorsport
  • Heat-shrinkable SE28 2:1 series tubing available in several sizes from 3.2-1.6 to 101.5/51.0. High performance elastomeric heatshrink tubing resistant to fuel and most fluids used in motorsport.
  • V9500 Epoxy Adhesive available from the Lane Electronics online store: epoxy gun V9500GUN, two-compound adhesive V9500DUOPACK, nozzle V9500NOZZLE.

Lane Electronics stocks a wide selection of industry-proven HellermannTyton moulded shapes, including:

  • 150 Series – bottle-shaped, straight heat shrink boots with rib (VG style), ideal for strain relief and sealing
  • 1100 Series – 90 degree / right-angle boots with rib (VG style), designed for compact harness routing
  • 100 Series – straight, bottle-shaped boots with rib (MIL style), suitable for aerospace and defence applications

HellermannTyton moulded shapes are widely recognised as equivalents to TE Connectivity Raychem heat shrink boots, which are commonly specified in aerospace and defence applications. To simplify sourcing and specification, Lane Electronics provides a dedicated cross-reference tool that allows customers to quickly convert Raychem part numbers to HellermannTyton equivalents. Popular Raychem references include 202K, 222K and 222D boots

HellermannTyton SE28 Series heat-shrink tubing is being increasingly specified by designers across the higher-performance sectors. This heat shrink tubing is designed to protect cable and cable harnesses from mechanical damage such as abrasion. It also resists a wide range of destructive fluids including diesel and aviation fuels as well as those found in hydraulic systems. SE28 tubing is made from cross linked elastomer and has a very wide operating temperature range of -75ºC up to +150ºC.

HellermannTyton is a leading manufacturer and supplier of quality products for fastening, fixing, installing, connecting, insulating, protecting and identifying electrical cables and network connectivity solutions including custom designed products for specific requirements. Delivering effective solutions for all cable management requirements they operate 18 world-class manufacturing facilities, develop products in 13 countries and have more than 6,000 employees.
