The OSLON Black IR:6 LEDs are designed for in-cabin automotive applications, including driver and occupant monitoring and presence detection.
The OSLON IR Black IR:6 C-Series automotive LEDs, available from Mouser, enable reliable face and viewing direction detection, even in darkness or under changing lighting conditions. By specifically reducing the “red glow” effect at 940 nanometers, the OSLON Black IR:6 LEDs address the challenge of the IR emitter’s visual red glow by filtering it at the chip level, reducing infrared illumination inside the vehicle to nearly invisibility. This innovation is particularly important during nighttime driving, as it significantly enhances user acceptance and comfort. The IR LED’s improved homogeneity of the far-field pattern enhances illumination and detection capabilities at the system level. Diverse lenses for different angles offer maximum design freedom, and the LEDs deliver superior partial flux by leveraging modern chip technology.
The OSLON Black IR:6 LEDs are designed for established applications, such as driver monitoring, occupant monitoring, and child presence detection, as well as for future applications, such as medical emergency detection, cognitive state monitoring, and intoxication/impairment detection. In addition, the OSLON Black IR:6 C-Series (OSLON Black SFH 472xxCS A01) offers a high degree of design freedom through various emission angles and optical options.
