April 30, 2020 – Working at home is something many people are doing right now. That is why Eplan is now offering a number of online services, including webcasts that provide users with specific practical support. The possibility for remote consulting and meeting with consultants via video conference is another new service that Eplan is offering companies – augmented by helpful online training courses from the Eplan Training Academy.

Around four hundred participants took part in the first three German webcasts on the topic “Eplan and working at home”, showing there is a great demand for customer support. Eplan is reacting positively to the changing market conditions by putting together a whole package of digital offerings that are now being successively implemented. These include the webcasts on the topic of “Eplan and working at home”, where users directly receive very practical support in their changed everyday working world. Topics such as remote access to Eplan software, VPN connections to company networks, or cloned master data were all covered in the one-hour webcasts. They are also now available as video streams – just take a look at the Eplan website to find them.

Take an even deeper dive
Another webcast series on the topic “More efficient use of Eplan Platform and new engineering methods” is also on the agenda, covering topics such as automation in panel building and switchgear system engineering, PLM integration, and macro technology in Eplan Electric P8. Eplan is also offering these webcasts free of charge to give users the opportunity to familiarise themselves with these topics or to take a deeper dive into them.

Consulting now also online
Onsite personal consultation has been the standard, especially for services such as training and consulting. Now Eplan customers have numerous possibilities for taking advantage of consulting services digitally via video conference. These remote consulting services can be used to finally take a closer look at a company’s processes and to be proactive about implementing optimisation that may be long overdue. Eplan Vice President Professional Services Bernd Schewior explains: “Our goal is to be available for our users at any time. Right now we’re offering online meetings and remote services where we are answering customer questions in real time. This service was added at the start of the year and has already become an integral part of our training programme to become an Eplan Certified Engineer.”

Expanding the e-learning offerings
The Eplan Training Academy is also working hard to expand its range of e-learning services. The academy offers training courses on various key topics including basic training for many product areas such as Eplan Electric P8 and Eplan Pro Panel. There are also in-depth training courses on macro and device technology, device and master-data creation, not to mention PLC, all offered online.
