Loccioni designs and manufactures high tech testing and quality control systems, both for laboratory and for the production line. The measure competence is applied in different sectors, from home appliances to automotive, from energy to aerospace and healthcare. The mission is to improve the well-being of people and the planet, improving the quality, safety and sustainability of products used every day.
Since the ‘70s Loccioni has been working for the automotive sector, facing continuous technological shifts: from petrol or diesel injectors in the thermal propulsion engines, to the testing of electronic control units, power electronics, inverters, and power modules.
Working with the best in class, Loccioni has developed more and more competences and experience, becoming a world expert in the testing of the e-mobility components; electric motors and axels, batteries and cells, inverters, and power modules.
Flexibility, the continuous inclusion of young people, networking with universities and the challenges of the main players, have been the keys to reach the heart of e-mobility: the power module, based on SiC and GaN semiconductors.
The expertise developed also comes from the realization of projects in the energy world: design and implementation of energy micro-grids, integration and management of storage systems (also second life), management and measurement of energy flows.
Loccioni supports the semiconductor production processes with both end-of-line testing of 100% of production (modular and customized solutions for the assembly and testing of power modules), with test and characterization systems for laboratory research and development, and with test services (measurement campaigns) for prototyping. Dynamic tests, static tests and insulation tests are performed to guarantee quality and reliability in real working conditions
Specifically designed for the power module industry, an upgraded Elektra test bench has been developed to perform a system level test. The measurement is carried on while simulating the real conditions of the power module inside the inverter in a riding car. A digital twin of the vehicle interfaces with the real power module and the system can measure current, tension, temperature even in extreme conditions. It is as if four different test benches were integrated in one only system.
To do this Loccioni has developed the Electronic Motor Emulator, that, through a perfect simulation of the car motor, applies on the power module a real load, before it gets integrated in the inverter.
This and other innovations will be displayed at PCIM, where Loccioni electronic team will show to the power electronic community its test systems both for laboratory and for the production line, end of line testing and automatic handling systems, all integrated in one smart ecosystem.
It will be possible to explore Loccioni’s Testing Cells at PCIM, Hall 5, Booth 332.
We transform data into value. For the well-being of people and the planet.
Loccioni is a family company, founded in 1968 by Enrico and Graziella, whose cultural roots lie in the Benedictine and farmers tradition of Le Marche region. From this millenary culture, a business model of Knowledge based company is born, that develops work and entrepreneurship* in the territory and in the world. The key elements are managerial skills, innovation, and internationalization.
Loccioni designs and produces high tech testing and quality control systems, both for laboratory and for the production line. The appliances in our homes, the cars we drive, the planes or trains that transport us, the energy we use, the air we breathe, the medicines and food for our health, are tested with Loccioni systems specifically created for each product or process. The mission is to improve the well-being of people and the planet, through improving the quality, safety and sustainability of the products used every day and the processes that impact the environment.
As Galileo Galilei teaches, to improve you need to measure and this is the expertise that makes Loccioni a strategic partner of the largest international industrial brands in the sectors of mobility, energy, the environment and personal well-being: among the main ones Airbus, Bosch, Cleveland Clinic, Daimler, Enel, E.On, Ferrari, General Electric, GE Avio, Leonardo, Mayo Clinic, Northvolt, RFI, Samsung Medical Center, Toyota. To nurture these relationship, international teams are created with young Loccioni collaborators in Germany, United States, China, Japan, India, Korea, Mexico, Sweden, Spain, and France.
The diversification of sectors increases competence, favors a multidisciplinary approach and the integration of people, and keeps the company always young, capable of taking on challenges with a high intensity of integration and innovation, such as the decarbonization.
This is why the Loccioni campus is a real laboratory of the ecological transition, with its bright zero-impact laboratories, immersed in the greenery of Le Marche countryside, powered by the sun and the water of the Esino river and connected in a de-methanized micro-grid, which intelligently manages energy flows. In 2024, the company produced more renewable energy than it consumed, absorbing more CO2 than it emitted, and generating a profit.
But the surprise for the over 8000 visitors per year comes from the smiles and big eyes of the people: students, young collaborators, together with senior experts and professors, customers, and suppliers, who work with joy, passion, and creativity to always find new solutions to “leave a little better than we found” (cit. Enrico Loccioni).

POLARIS
In Loccioni there is no product catalogue, but an infographic. Like the North Star, Polaris® indicates the meaning and direction of the working community: collaborators, customers, and partners. A map that tells the present and triggers future conversations, whose engine is people.
People, customers, territory: through relationships and exchanges, the company generates profits that reinvest in the working community, champion of sustainability and social innovation, a new business model.
Social Innovation Projects
Rooted in its territory of origin, Loccioni invests its profits in projects for the company and the territory, with courage and a long-term perspective. Here are some:
Loccioni Academy: since the beginning of the entrepreneurial adventure Loccioni has opened its reality to schools of all levels, creating joint laboratories for the development of knowledge and orientation of young people. Today the company itself is a school with a 36-month training course for new hires and continuous training opportunities.
Lab@AOR: laboratory for innovation in health care in collaboration with the Azienda Ospedaliero Universitaria delle Marche for the development of technological solutions to improve the quality-of- care processes and environments. From this laboratory the innovative platform APOTECA was born, the world first robot that automatically prepares personalized drug mix.
Leaf Community: Loccioni is an eco-sustainable micro-grid, where people live in apartments with zero CO2 emissions, work in efficient buildings and produce and accumulate energy from the soil, river water and land, managing and optimizing energy flows. A real lab of ecological transition open to schools, institutions, associations to experiment and measure the future.
2 km di futuro: public – private project to assure the safety of the nearby Esino river, once a menace for the community. Loccioni has worked for the safety of the river and has restored its past beauty and traditions. In fact in addition to the usage of the water as energy source, with micro- hydroelectric power plants, the company finances the construction of the pedestrian bridge 2068, by architect Thomas Herzog, among the projects selected at the Venice Biennale 2018.
La Valle di San Clemente: rural innovation project for the valorisation of a valley and its artistic, historical, eno-gastronomic and landscape treasures. With a Public Private Partnership with the Municipality of Apiro, the company manages and enhances the thousand-year-old Benedictine Abbey of Sant’Urbano, making it a hub of the international research network on the circular economy and new energies of the earth, to develop work and innovation in agriculture and beyond. “This is how I see the future: if we want to get fruit we have to take care of the tree, instead we tend to collect the fruit and nobody takes care of the tree anymore. It is a lot of fun to take care of the tree, which is the living system, the company, the organization, the growth, what people do and dream of: it is truly exciting to see young people planning their future and at the same time that of their company in which they work and the territory they live in. And the greatest satisfaction is to inspire new businesses in the area. ”
