Leading manufacturer of high performance reed relays, Pickering Electronics will showcase its comprehensive range of reed relays for high-end instrumentation, ATE (automatic test equipment) and semiconductor test – including its latest high-power reed relays, Series 144 – on booth #H5-L01 at productronica India 2024, taking place September 11th-13th, at India Expo Centre in Greater Noida, New Delhi, India.
productronica India showcases the entire value chain in electronics development and production – from technologies and components to software and services. Founded in 2000, it alternates annually between the two Indian economic hubs, Delhi and Bengaluru. Together with co-located electronica India and SEMICON India, South Asia’s leading trade fairs for the electronics industry – with more than 39,000 visitors, almost 600 exhibitors from 24 countries, and 35,000m² exhibition space – provide a comprehensive update of the rapidly developing technology in all fields of electronics.
“As the semiconductor and electronics ecosystem in India continues to grow and strengthen,” commented Robert King, Product Development Manager at Pickering Electronics, “and Pickering continuously improves its reed relay offering for instrumentation and ATE, we anticipate interest at productronica India from diverse sectors and applications, including semiconductor test, signal switching in medical electronics, EV charging, solar cell monitoring, and high voltage instrumentation.”
Ideal for mixed signal semiconductor testing, Pickering’s Series 144 single-in-line reed relays are designed to handle power levels far exceeding those of traditional dry SIL reed relays (typically rated at 0.5 amps at 10 Watts). Series 144 reed relays offer a switching current of up to 2 Amps, facilitating power delivery of up to 60 Watts, or 1 Amp for up to 80 Watts, and a continuous carry current of up to 3 Amps. Additionally, the range boasts high-voltage capability, with a switching voltage of 1000VDC up to 10W and up to 3kV stand-off.
Series 144 is Pickering’s smallest miniature SIP reed relay with a power rating of up to 80 Watts. It combines the ability to effectively switch higher power with exceptional low-level performance. It also serves as a viable alternative to mercury wetted reed relays or miniature electromechanical relays (EMRs) due to its exceptional low-level performance and high isolation advantages.
Pickering’s comprehensive range of high-performance reed relays use only the highest quality reed switches and offer single-in-line (SIP), dual-in-line (DIP) through-hole and surface mount (SMD) packages. Available in various contact configurations, including 1 Form A (SPST N.O.), 2 Form A (DPST N.O.), 1 Form B (SPST N.C.), 1 Form C (SPDT changeover), 2 Form C (DPDT changeover) and 3 Form A (3PST N.O), Pickering reed relays are ideal for many applications including mixed-signal semiconductor testers, in-circuit test equipment, high-end cable testers, backplane testers, EVs (electric vehicles), medical electronics, solar energy, big physics, and high voltage instrumentation.
Also on show from Pickering Group at productronica India will be its modular signal switching and simulation technologies for electronic test and verification from Pickering Interfaces, as well as its cables and connectors from Pickering Connect.
