STMicroelectronics, a global semiconductor leader serving customers across the spectrum of electronics applications, will exhibit at electronica China 2025(Booth N5.601)on April 15-17. Under the theme of “Our technology starts with You”, ST will exhibit a wide array of innovative solutions across the end markets of Automotive and Industrial, based on its state-of-the-art Enabling Technologies. In total, over 50 interactive demos and advanced solutions will be showcased, each tailored to meet the changing demands of our customers and the market.
Automotive: ST’s Smart Driving products and automotive solutions enhance safety, sustainability, and connectivity by integrating multiple advanced technologies. At electronica China, ST will present a comprehensive automotive solution by showcasing three innovative demos.
The first demo shows the recently announced Teseo VI automotive-grade GNSS chip, supporting advanced capabilities in automotive ADAS and new industrial applications. The chip features multi-constellation positioning (GPS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS, IRNSS) and quad-band anti-jamming technology. As a pioneer in the industry, ST is the first to integrate a quad-band, multi-constellation design, crucial for achieving GNSS positioning accuracy within a few centimeters onto a single die. This innovative design not only ensures cost-effective and precise positioning for road users, but is also available to the new industrial applications, thereby expanding the operational capabilities of autonomous vehicles.
Additionally, attendees will be able to explore other automotive applications through two fashion car models, featuring ST’s advanced technologies of X in 1 Powertrain Domain Controller and Zonal Control Unit Solution. Visitors will have an opportunity to see ST’s innovative solutions to help people make driving safer, greener and more connected for everyone.
Industrial: With the rapid development of AI technology, the power requirements for AI servers are increasing. At electronica China 2025, visitors will see a wall demonstrating ST’s Total Solution for New-Generation Data Center Infrastructure. An innovative solution for high-power AI server PSUs will demonstrate how ST optimizes the power architecture and control algorithms, achieves higher power density and more stable power output, and provides reliable support for the efficient operation of AI servers.
High-power cooling systems will also be showcased at the ST booth. This solution provides excellent performance and integrates intelligent monitoring and diagnostic functions, allowing real-time monitoring of the equipment’s operating status, promptly identifying and resolving potential issues, thereby reducing system failures and maintenance costs. Additionally, ST’s products enhance energy efficiency and reliability, achieving the highest levels of robustness, power density, and energy efficiency required for AI data-center cooling. ST leads the way by offering a turnkey solution with an unparalleled architecture, using only one microcontroller (STM32G431) to control a three-phase Vienna PFC and a three-phase FOC compressor drive.
Furthermore, ST has introduced advanced gesture recognition systems using the STM32N6 microcontroller, primarily for industrial applications. The microcontroller’s built-in NPU runs sophisticated gesture recognition models. Paired with the VD66GY high-sensitivity color image sensor, it accurately captures and recognizes 21 key points of hand gestures. The STM32MP257 PLC demonstration board processes this data and controls 15 servo motors in a dexterous hand, enabling real-time, precise gesture responses. This innovative setup showcases ST’s capability in combining microcontroller technology with advanced sensors to achieve real-time gesture recognition and control.
Enabling Technologies: As a global semiconductor company, ST has been serving our customers with innovations that make a positive impact on people’s lives. At electronica China, ST will demonstrate a dedicated zone of Enabling Technologies for the first time, which will showcase how ST’s innovations and technologies enhance user experiences.
A standout example is the Smart Glasses demo, poised to redefine advancements in smart eyewear technology. The demo features extensive sensing and monitoring capabilities, enhancing user interactivity. Motion tracking and head movement detection are achieved through an embedded MEMS inertial sensor (IMU). Posture and gesture recognition is enabled by the VL53L5CX multi-zone time-of-flight sensors. The glasses offer precise motion tracking and head movement recognition with low power consumption and the algorithm library available.
ST will also display the AR glasses from Meta-bounds with STM32N6 inside, a market-first to break the 35g barrier with a built-in advanced near-eye display system that can deliver a myriad of AI-driven experiences for 10 hours on a single charge. The neural processing unit (NPU) and image signal processing unit (ISP) of the STM32N6 microcontroller enabled to deliver advanced features in ultralight AR glasses.
To illustrate ST’s wide product portfolio and its unparalleled enabling technologies, there are many other innovations to be discovered at electronica China, such as Contactless FOTA for STM32 smart watch platform; digital car key demo; or ST’s Edge AI Solution.
