The FS1525 is an easy-to-use, fully integrated, and highly efficient micro-point-of-load (µPOL) voltage regulator. The regulator is engineered to meet the demands of AI servers, data center systems, edge computing, telecom and networking, industrial applications, and distributed point-of-load (PoL) power architectures.
The TDK FS1525 µPOL regulator, now available at Mouser, delivers 25A per module and up to 200A when stacking multiple units in vertical power-delivery designs. The ultra-compact, accurate regulator features an on-chip pulse-width modulation (PWM) controller, integrated MOSFETs, along with an incorporated inductor and capacitors. The FS1525 offers built-in protection, including pre-biased start-up, soft-start protection, thermally compensated overcurrent protection with hiccup mode, overvoltage protection, and thermal shutdown with auto-recovery. It also features ultra-fast transient response, ultra-low DC ripple, and true differential remote sensing for accurate voltage regulation at the point of load.
The TDK FS1525 provides programmable operation via I2C and PMBus protocols, enabling real-time telemetry, adaptive tuning, and fault management for voltage, current, and temperature monitoring. The compact, low-profile regulator measures 6.80mm x 7.65mm x 3.82mm and is suitable for automated assembly using standard-mount equipment. The FS1525 offers a plug-and-play design and requires no external components, simplifying designs, accelerating development, and reducing overall system costs.
The TDK EV1525-0800-25A/-50A/-100A µPOL evaluation boards help start development with the FS1525 regulator. The evaluation boards produce an output voltage (VOUT) of 0.8V for loads of 0A to 25A (EV1525-0800-25A), 0A to 50A (EV1525-0800-50A), or 0A to 100A (EV1525-0800-100A) from an input voltage (PVIN) of 12V.
