Bourns Unveils MH3261 T Series High-Current Ferrite Beads

Bourns has expanded its EMI suppression portfolio with the launch of the MH3261-T Series High Current Chip Ferrite Beads. Designed for compact, high-power electronic systems, the new components deliver effective noise filtering while supporting high current levels in space-constrained applications.

The series features a compact 3.2 mm × 1.6 mm footprint and can handle currents of up to 11 A, making it suitable for modern power-dense designs where PCB space is limited. As electronic devices continue to shrink while requiring higher power delivery, the demand for efficient EMI suppression solutions with minimal impact on system performance has increased.

To improve efficiency, the MH3261-T Series offers extremely low DC resistance, reaching as low as 0.0025 Ω. This helps reduce power losses, limit heat generation, and maintain reliable operation even under high-current conditions.

The ferrite beads are available in impedance values ranging from 30 Ω to 1000 Ω at 100 MHz, allowing engineers to select the most suitable option for specific noise-filtering and signal-integrity requirements. This flexibility makes the series applicable across a broad range of power supply and electronic circuit designs.

Built for demanding environments, the components operate across a temperature range of -55°C to +125°C, including self-heating effects at rated current. Their low-profile package measuring 3.2 mm × 1.6 mm × 1.1 mm further supports use in compact and densely populated PCB layouts.

The MH3261-T Series is intended for EMI suppression in power rails, power distribution networks, and other high-current pathways where low insertion loss and thermal stability are essential. Bourns has also ensured the components are RoHS-compliant and halogen-free, supporting environmental and regulatory requirements.

The new ferrite beads are available through Bourns’ global distribution channels, with samples and technical support offered through the company’s customer service network.
