Flex Power Modules has introduced the BMR353, a high-power DC/DC intermediate bus converter designed to meet the increasing power density and efficiency demands of AI data centers. The non-isolated eighth-brick module accepts a 40 V to 60 V input and delivers a regulated 12.2 V output with up to 860 W continuous power and 1,200 W peak output.

Built for AI training and inference workloads, the converter supports 100 A peak current to manage rapid load changes while maintaining stable power delivery. It can supply point-of-load converters as well as storage, cooling, and other auxiliary systems within AI server platforms.

The BMR353 achieves up to 97.8% efficiency at 54 V input and 50% load, helping reduce power losses and simplify thermal management. It comes in a compact eighth-brick form factor with an optimized baseplate for improved heat dissipation in space-limited server designs.

The module features a PMBus interface for digital configuration, monitoring, diagnostics, and fault logging through Flex Power Designer software. It also includes built-in protections such as overvoltage, overtemperature, short-circuit protection, and monotonic startup to enhance system reliability.

Supporting through-hole, wave soldering, pin-in-paste reflow, and manual soldering, the BMR353 is suitable for both prototyping and mass production. Available immediately, it is aimed at AI data center applications requiring compact, high-efficiency intermediate bus power conversion with fast response to dynamic high-current loads.
