ROHM has expanded its Super Junction MOSFET lineup with the new R60xxXNx and PrestoMOS R60xxWNx 600V series, developed to enhance efficiency and power density in advanced power conversion applications. Offered in compact DFN8080-5L and TOLL surface-mount packages, the devices provide improved thermal performance while maintaining compatibility with industry-standard footprints for AI server power supplies, industrial systems, and motor drives.
The new MOSFETs address the growing demand for compact, high-power electronics by enabling better heat dissipation and simplified automated assembly. Featuring a 3V to 5V gate threshold voltage, they integrate easily into existing Super Junction MOSFET designs with minimal circuit changes. ROHM has also reduced conduction and switching losses compared with earlier generations, while standardized package footprints improve sourcing flexibility and simplify component replacement.
The portfolio includes 21 high-speed switching devices in the R60xxXNx series and 11 PrestoMOS R60xxWNx devices optimized for fast reverse recovery. Mass production started in June 2026, with selected TOLL-package models already available through online distributors. The new MOSFETs target AI servers, data center power supplies, AC/DC converters, industrial motor drives, cooling fans, and servo inverter applications, with additional 650V products planned for the future.
