Delta is presenting its latest microgrid technologies for AI factories, high-performance computing (HPC) data centers, and smart manufacturing at Energy Taiwan 2026. With the theme “Resilient Energy, Powering the AI Future,” the company is highlighting a prefabricated DC power system using solid-state transformers (SSTs), distributed power generation, energy storage, and intelligent energy management solutions.
Developed for AI infrastructure, Delta’s containerized DC power system combines SSTs, DC/DC converters, and control equipment in an integrated design. By reducing the number of power conversion stages, the system delivers SST energy efficiency of up to 98.5%. Delta says the technology can increase grid-to-chip energy efficiency in AI data centers by 4–5%.
The system can also integrate high-C-rate batteries to accommodate rapid changes in AI computing workloads. These batteries provide power support within milliseconds, helping maintain stable electricity delivery during sudden load variations. Its modular, prefabricated architecture minimizes on-site wiring, installation, and commissioning work, potentially reducing deployment time by up to 50%. The design also allows capacity to be expanded as future computing requirements grow.
In addition, Delta is showcasing solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) technology for distributed electricity generation. Designed to work alongside the utility grid, energy storage systems, and other power sources, the solution enhances energy flexibility and reduces reliance on a single source of electricity.
SOFC technology produces electricity through an electrochemical reaction. When combined with heat recovery, the system can achieve overall efficiency of up to 85%. It is intended for facilities that require reliable, continuous power, including AI data centers, manufacturing plants, and critical infrastructure. Delta expects to begin trial production of its SOFC solution by the end of 2026.
Another highlight is EnergiQ, a digital energy management platform developed by Delta’s ESG Consulting Office and complemented by energy-efficiency consulting services. Based on the ISO 50001 energy management framework, EnergiQ helps organizations identify equipment and systems, establish energy baselines, define and monitor energy performance indicators (EnPIs), and track energy-saving initiatives.
Visitors can explore Delta’s microgrid technologies at Energy Taiwan 2026, taking place October 14–16 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1, 4F, Booth M0319a. The program also features technical presentations by experts from Taiwan’s Industrial Technology Research Institute, Taiwan Institute of Economic Research, and Delta’s smart energy and microgrid teams.
