Allegro MicroSystems has unveiled a new range of power management, current sensing, and motor control solutions aimed at meeting the growing demands of AI data centers and high-performance computing infrastructure. The new portfolio focuses on two key developments: the shift toward 800 V power distribution to handle increasing rack power requirements and the adoption of 48 V systems for server cooling.

The latest product lineup includes wide-body, high-isolation versions of the ACS37030 and ACS37002 current sensors, the AHV85311 Power-Thru isolated gate driver for silicon carbide (SiC) power applications, and an upgraded A89333 QuietMotion 48 V motor driver. These solutions are designed to improve electrical protection, enhance power efficiency, support thermal management, and reduce overall system size.

The upgraded ACS37030 and ACS37002 current sensors feature a wide-body package made with high comparative tracking index (CTI) molding material, delivering up to 6,000 V of galvanic isolation. This makes them suitable for monitoring current in high-voltage applications such as power supplies, battery backup systems, and capacitor banks. Accurate and responsive current sensing is increasingly important in AI data centers, where rapidly changing computing workloads can cause significant fluctuations in electricity demand. Their compact design also allows manufacturers to adopt 800 V power distribution without requiring larger rack power shelves or power supply units.

For silicon carbide-based power conversion systems, Allegro’s AHV85311 Power-Thru isolated gate driver removes the requirement for a separate isolated power supply. By combining these functions, the device can reduce circuit-board space by up to 50%, according to the company. This approach can simplify the design of high-voltage power supplies and solid-state circuit breakers while helping developers build more compact and efficient power systems.

The portfolio also addresses the growing energy requirements of data center cooling. Allegro’s enhanced A89333 QuietMotion motor driver integrates control functions that automatically manage changing airflow conditions, eliminating the need for customers to develop complex motor-control software. It supports compact 48 V fans used in 1U, 2U and 4U servers, helping improve cooling efficiency and reliability as computing density increases. The same product category can also support pumps in liquid-cooling systems.

Allegro reports that AcBel Polytech has integrated its high-speed current sensors into new high-density power solutions for AI data centers, supporting power regulation and system protection.

The company estimates that its serviceable addressable market for AI data centers will reach $1.7 billion by fiscal 2031, based on third-party data and internal projections. Beyond data centers, the new devices also target industrial automation, robotics, and automotive onboard charging applications. Allegro will showcase the technologies at electronica 2026 in Munich, Hall C6, Booth 129.
