Mouser Electronics, the authorized global distributor with the newest electronic components and industrial automation products, is now shipping the new VDS130 vibration data source from Amphenol Wilcoxon. The VDS130 is a 4-channel IEPE-to-MQTT digital converter for IIoT, cloud, and analytics platforms in high-frequency and general-purpose industrial condition monitoring.
The Amphenol Wilcoxon VDS130 vibration data source, available from Mouser, supports four IEPE vibration inputs and a tachometer (RPM) input, enabling synchronization of vibration and rotational-speed data that preserves the original analog-signal characteristics while publishing high-resolution data up to 40 kHz. It is suitable for a wide range of industrial vibration sensors covering general-purpose, high-speed, low-speed, high-temperature, high-EMI, high-vibration, submersible, and hazardous-area applications. The VDS130 provides vibration spectrum, FFT, and calculated metrics like acceleration, velocity, displacement, crest-factor, standard deviation, and ISO‑defined frequency bands in an MQTT data format for simplified integration into enterprise and cloud-level data systems.
The VDS130 is compatible with a wide range of IEPE accelerometers, including sensors designed for high-frequency measurement, low-frequency monitoring, harsh industrial environments, and hazardous locations. However, the device itself is not intended for direct installation in aggressive conditions. An optional adapter allows it to be front- or side-mounted on DIN rails and is designed for both retrofit installations using existing IEPE sensors and new digital monitoring applications. Whether upgrading legacy vibration monitoring or deploying a new digital architecture, the VDS130 seamlessly bridges trusted IEPE sensors with MQTT-based platforms.
