Bourns has expanded its modular contacts lineup with new 5 A, 6 A, and 8 A options, aimed at applications needing higher power density and flexible interconnect solutions.

The additions—75ABF, 75ABM, 76AAF, 76AAM, 78ADF, and 78ADM—are engineered to handle greater currents without increasing size. Their modular design allows contacts to be stacked side by side, providing customizable configurations for system-specific needs and making them easy to integrate into compact designs.

This portfolio expansion meets the growing demand for reliable, adaptable interconnects in applications driven by higher electrification and current requirements. The new contacts are RoHS-compliant and immediately available.

These higher-current modules are ideal for energy charging systems, short-range power delivery, and designs that distribute loads across multiple subsystems. They facilitate efficient power transfer, reducing voltage drop and enhancing overall performance in power distribution networks.

Tested to endure up to 50,000 mating cycles, the contacts are built for long-term reliability in challenging environments. Their modular nature also allows designers to combine multiple contacts to scale current capacity, offering a versatile solution for evolving power demands.
