Marking his first personal angel investment, Ramesh Kannan, Founder and Managing Director of Kaynes Technology India Limited has backed Bangalore-based consumer electronics startup Cuzor with ₹5 crore in its seed round, the company announced today. The move underscores growing confidence in India’s ability to build globally competitive hardware and highlights Cuzor’s technical expertise and design-first approach.
“I have always believed that Indian engineering and manufacturing can stand shoulder to shoulder with the best in the world,” said Mr. Kannan. “The Cuzor team has not only demonstrated grit in designing and manufacturing their products end-to-end, but also shown a strong commitment to customers — the kind you typically see with world-class global brands. I’ve been following them since their very first product and have watched them grow steadily and patiently. I’m delighted to support their journey and look forward to Cuzor emerging as a leader in India’s consumer electronics space.”
Launches Cuzor Pulse 70W
Cuzor, best known for leading the Mini UPS category with a 41% market share, has now entered the fast-charging segment of GaN chargers with a bold new product. The Cuzor Pulse 70W is India’s first 70W GaNSense based charger to be fully designed, engineered, and manufactured domestically.
“While ‘Designed in India’ is a proud label, our goal is to compete globally on product merit, features, and quality — and be recognized for that,” said Sachin D Naik, Founder and CEO, Cuzor Labs. “That’s the true validation we seek for our engineered-in-India products. We’re delighted to have the backing of Mr. Ramesh Kannan, a stalwart of India’s electronics industry, whose investment in Cuzor is a huge vote of confidence in our vision.”
Category-first Innovations
The Cuzor Pulse 70W charger features multiple category-first innovations. It delivers up to 70W peak output, with intelligent dual-port distribution that allocates up to 25W for smartphones instead of the regular 20W — allowing 25% faster charging even when two devices are plugged in.
This is the first 70W GaN charger to feature charging status LEDs for each port, offering a subtle breathing effect that reflects real-time charging speed. As the connected device approaches a full charge, the LED transitions to a steady glow — giving users an at-a-glance view of charging progress.
Cuzor also offers a two-year doorstep warranty — a first in the accessories segment — keeping in line with their commitment to customer satisfaction.
Powered by Navitas GaNSense Gen 4 IC, the Pulse 70W boasts 91% peak efficiency, low heat generation, and a high power density of 11.97 W/in³. The charger features full silicone potting and a robust polycarbonate enclosure for durability.
Compatible with PD 3.0, PPS, QC2.0, and QC3.0 protocols, it supports a wide range of devices including iPhone 16 Pro Max, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, Pixel 8 Pro, MacBook Air/Pro, and Dell XPS laptops. It’s designed as a single, compact charging solution for multitasking professionals on the move.
