As one of India’s busiest and most iconic public transport systems, Delhi Metro is now embracing renewable energy with the support of Bluebird Solar Modules. This initiative is part of Delhi Metro’s larger sustainability vision to reduce dependency on fossil fuels and cut down harmful emissions.
The project features Bluebird’s 550Wp Mono PERC solar modules, engineered for high performance and durability. With a total planned capacity of 3 MW, and 232 kW already installed, the project will make a substantial contribution to Delhi’s clean energy adoption.
The environmental benefits are equally impressive — this installation will help save 313,200 kg of CO₂ emissions every year, which is equivalent to planting nearly 14,236 trees annually.
