Magnachip Semiconductor Corporation has introduced its new 80V MXT MV MOSFET, model MDLT080N017RH, featuring an advanced TOLT (TO-Leaded Top-Side Cooling) package that significantly improves heat dissipation. Unlike traditional TOLL packages that release heat through the bottom, the TOLT design allows heat to escape from the top via a metal heat sink, reducing thermal resistance and enhancing cooling efficiency.
This innovation is particularly suited for high-heat applications like electric scooters and light electric vehicles. Internal tests show the new MOSFET lowers junction temperatures by an average of 22% compared to standard alternatives, leading to better reliability, longer lifespan, and higher system efficiency. The compact, lightweight TOLT package also supports space-saving designs while maintaining strong current performance and thermal safety. Magnachip has already begun shipping the product to a leading global electric motor manufacturer.
