MIC Electronics has been awarded a contract by the Nava Raipur Atal Nagar Vikas Pradhikaran (NRANVP) to design, develop, and operationalize a state-of-the-art Common Facility Centre (CFC) at Sector 22, Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, with a total project value of ₹114.10 crore.
The project is planned for completion within 10 months and includes comprehensive responsibilities such as design and engineering, procurement of advanced equipment, construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and ensuring the facility is fully operational for long-term use.
The Common Facility Centre is being developed as a shared manufacturing and technology infrastructure aimed at strengthening the electronics manufacturing ecosystem in the region. The facility will provide centralised access to advanced machinery, engineering infrastructure, utilities and testing systems, significantly lowering entry barriers for MSMEs, startups, system integrators and technology-driven enterprises.
By enabling shared access to capital-intensive manufacturing and testing capabilities, the centre is expected to support electronics manufacturing services (EMS), precision assembly, system integration, prototyping, testing and validation, as well as industrial and institutional technology operations. The model is designed to accelerate time-to-market, improve capital efficiency and enable scalable growth for multiple users operating within Nava Raipur.
MIC Electronics’ selection for the project is anchored in its manufacturing and execution capabilities. The company operates two in-house Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production lines equipped with advanced electronic manufacturing and testing systems, providing it with operational insight into the requirements of shared manufacturing environments.
This experience will enable MIC Electronics to design manufacturing-optimised layouts, deploy precision machinery, establish robust safety and quality protocols, and ensure long-term operation and maintenance of the facility. The CFC is being positioned not merely as a physical asset, but as a fully functional manufacturing ecosystem capable of sustained operations.
The project is expected to act as a catalyst for industrial development in Nava Raipur and across Chhattisgarh, supporting enterprise growth and attracting investments in electronics and allied sectors. Employment generation is anticipated during both the execution and operational phases, creating several hundred direct and indirect jobs across engineering, electronics manufacturing, system integration, operations, maintenance, logistics and ancillary services.
The development aligns with key national and state initiatives, including Make in India, Atmanirbhar Bharat and Ease of Doing Business, as well as Chhattisgarh’s MSME and industrial promotion policies. It also supports the long-term vision of Nava Raipur Atal Nagar as a planned, future-ready capital city, strengthening India’s push towards cluster-based and self-reliant manufacturing.
Commenting on the development, Mr. Rakshit Mathur, CEO, MIC Electronics, said, “The Common Facility Centre at Nava Raipur Atal Nagar is a strategically significant project for MIC Electronics and for the State of Chhattisgarh. Our objective goes beyond asset creation to building a platform that supports electronics manufacturing, technology-led enterprises and industrial scale-up. With our experience in operating in-house SMT lines and advanced manufacturing facilities, we are well-positioned to design, commission and sustain common facilities aligned with real-world manufacturing needs.”
