Mouser Electronics, the industry’s leading New Product Introduction (NPI) distributor with the widest selection of semiconductors and electronic components, is now stocking the new BGM270S and MGM270S wireless system-in-package (SiP) modules from Silicon Labs. The xGM270S wireless module family is purpose-built for IoT, smart home, industrial automation, mesh networking, and access/fleet/asset monitoring applications.

The Silicon Labs BGM270S module, available from Mouser, is designed for a wide range of Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) end-node applications, including smart home devices, asset tracking and fleet management systems, access control solutions, sports and wellness products and industrial automation equipment. Its compact 6.5 × 6.5 mm LGA SiP form factor makes it an excellent choice for space-constrained designs where rapid integration and predictable development timelines are essential.

The MGM270S module, also available from Mouser, delivers support for both Bluetooth LE and Zigbee Green Power, and the practical advantage of global certifications and production-ready software. By reducing design complexity and development risk, these features help bring products from concept to production more quickly. With 768 kB of flash and 64 kB of RAM, the MGM270S provides a high-performance solution to support robust networking capabilities via multiple wireless protocols for industrial automation applications.

Mouser also stocks development tools for the xGM270S family: The Silicon Labs xGM270S-EK2715A Module Explorer Kit is an ultra-low-cost, small-form-factor development and evaluation platform based on the MGM270S module, ideal for developing energy-friendly connected 2.4 GHz wireless IoT devices.

The xGM270S-RB4356A +6.5 dBm radio board, featuring a pre-mounted MGM270S module, is designed to work with the Si-MB4002A Wireless Pro Kit Mainboard, which serves as a prototyping platform for application development and debugging of Silicon Labs wireless products. This board incorporates an onboard J-Link debugger with a packet trace interface (PTI), a Virtual COM (VCOM) port, and advanced energy monitoring (AEM). The VCOM provides seamless communication with the target SoC over USB.
