Transtector’s DPR indoor data surge protectors (SPDs), now available from Mouser, are designed to protect critical equipment in 10/100/1000 Base-T or Gigabit Ethernet/PoE++ data networks while remaining transparent to data throughput. These indoor-style SPDs use Silicon Avalanche Suppression Diode (SASD) or Gas Discharge Tube (GDT) technology to provide effective protection against electrical transients caused by external lightning and internal switching events. The Transtector DPR series supports long-term system reliability by protecting against high amounts of repetitive transient energy while maintaining a very low clamping voltage.
