Nextpower has acquired selected power conversion assets from Zigor Corporation and its U.S. affiliate Apex Power, enhancing its capabilities in utility-scale solar and energy storage solutions. The deal adds advanced inverter technology, skilled engineering teams, and established supply chain expertise to Nextpower’s portfolio while supporting the company’s planned U.S. manufacturing growth.

The acquisition includes UL-certified central inverters for North America and IEC-certified solutions for global markets. By combining engineering resources from the United States and Spain, Nextpower aims to accelerate the development of reliable power conversion systems for large renewable energy projects.

A major addition is the company’s modular inverter technology, designed to improve maintenance efficiency and system uptime. The service-friendly architecture allows individual modules to be repaired or replaced on-site, reducing downtime and simplifying operations compared with traditional centralized inverter systems.

Nextpower’s expanded product range includes central and modular inverter solutions up to 5.2 MVA for utility-scale solar plants and battery energy storage projects. The systems feature secure optical fiber communication networks that enable reliable monitoring and control across large installations.

Following the acquisition, Nextpower plans to increase its U.S. manufacturing capacity across multiple locations, with deliveries expected to grow in early 2027. The company aims to achieve more than 10 GW of annual production capacity within the following year to meet rising demand for domestically manufactured renewable energy equipment.

Through the integration of Zigor’s technology and expertise, Nextpower is strengthening its position in the global power conversion market while expanding its solutions for large-scale solar and energy storage applications.
