RECOM Power GmbH has announced the launch of a new Research and Development centre along with an SMT prototyping line in Xiamen, China. The new facility represents an important step in expanding RECOM’s global R&D footprint and underscores the company’s dedication to innovation, rapid development, and high-quality power supply engineering.
The new facility integrates R&D, Engineering, and Quality departments under one roof, fostering seamless collaboration across all stages of product development. This close interaction enables faster design iterations, improved Design for Manufacturability (DFM), accelerated trial runs and verification testing, as well as mass production part approval.
Equipped with a dedicated SMT prototyping line, the Xiamen Centre allows for rapid sample and initial stock production, significantly shortening development cycles and enabling quick customer feedback and validation. This setup ensures that RECOM can deliver high-performance, application-optimized power solutions faster than ever before.
“Our new R&D Centre in Xiamen represents a major step forward in combining innovation, engineering excellence, and manufacturing agility,” said [Karsten Bier, CEO of RECOM]. “By bringing our key teams together and investing in rapid prototyping capabilities, we can respond to customer requirements with unmatched speed and precision.”
The RECOM Xiamen R&D Centre will serve as a vital hub for next-generation power conversion technologies, supporting both global and regional development initiatives. It complements RECOM’s existing design and production facilities across Europe, the USA, and Asia, ensuring consistent product quality and innovation worldwide.
