Renesas Strengthens India and China Strategy with New Leadership

Renesas Electronics Corporation, a leading provider of advanced semiconductor solutions, has announced new executive appointments aimed at boosting its growth plans in two rapidly expanding markets, India and China.

As of March 1, 2026, Malini Narayanamoorthi has taken on the role of Vice President and President of Renesas Electronics India. She previously served as India Country Manager and Vice President of MID Engineering within the company’s Analog & Mixed Signal Product Group.

In recent years, Narayanamoorthi has been instrumental in strengthening Renesas’ footprint in India by fostering strong customer partnerships, advancing major engineering initiatives, and enhancing collaboration with global teams. In her new position, she will focus on accelerating the company’s expansion in India by leading strategic efforts that leverage the country’s growing technology landscape, strong engineering expertise, and opportunities aligned with national development goals.

enesas also announced that Yvonne Liu, an accomplished semiconductor executive with 26 years of industry experience, has been appointed Vice President and President of Renesas Electronics China, effective March 1, 2026. Liu’s career spans the full semiconductor value chain, with extensive experience across the automotive, consumer, industrial and IoT, as well as cyber security. Prior to joining Renesas, Liu held senior leadership roles at NXP Semiconductors, most recently as Vice President and General Manager of Greater China Automotive, where she led cross-functional teams to drive business success. In her new role, Liu will oversee Renesas’ operations and strategic execution in China. She will further strengthen engagement with customers and ecosystem partners and drive growth in one of the world’s most innovative and strategically significant technology markets.

Both Narayanamoorthi and Liu report directly to Hidetoshi Shibata, CEO of Renesas.
