Toshiba Electronics Europe has added the XPJ1R504PB to its automotive MOSFET lineup, offering a 40V N-channel power device designed for modern 12V vehicle systems. The MOSFET meets the AEC-Q101 automotive reliability standard, making it suitable for demanding automotive environments where durability and stable performance are essential.

The device is built using Toshiba’s S-TOGL surface-mount package, which combines a compact design with strong current-handling capability and improved heat management. It is designed for applications such as motor drives, inverters, semiconductor relays, and load switches, helping engineers develop smaller and more efficient automotive power systems as vehicle electrification continues to grow.

The XPJ1R504PB supports currents up to 120A and features a low on-resistance of 1.54mΩ, which helps reduce energy losses during operation and improves overall system efficiency. Its advanced packaging technology improves thermal performance through a thick copper lead frame, allowing heat to move away from the semiconductor more effectively and supporting higher operating currents.

The MOSFET’s internal design also reduces unwanted electrical resistance by directly connecting the source electrode to external leads. Multiple source pins help distribute current more evenly, while gull-wing leads improve mechanical reliability by reducing stress on solder connections during temperature changes.
