Quest Global, a leading independent engineering services company, has announced that it is acquiring BITSILICA, a semiconductor design services firm based in India. This move is aimed at strengthening Quest Global’s semiconductor capabilities and expanding its support for global clients in the chip industry. It also aligns with the company’s strategy to offer end-to-end solutions, from initial concept through silicon development to software.
Through this acquisition, BITSILICA will benefit from Quest Global’s more than 25 years of industry expertise and its strong track record in solving complex engineering challenges. At the same time, BITSILICA’s range of services will enhance Quest Global’s existing capabilities, particularly in areas like chip design, design verification, and physical design for semiconductor applications. Together, the two companies plan to scale their operations and combine their strengths to drive innovation and growth.
Founded in 2019, BITSILICA brings deep expertise across ASIC Design, Design Verification, physical design, DFT, and embedded software. With over 500 engineers across India (Bangalore & Hyderabad), Singapore and Malaysia, BITSILICA serves leading global semiconductor and hi-tech companies including those in mobile, compute, FPGA, wireless, memory, AI, and IoT. With a strong portion of its workforce dedicated to design verification (DV) capacity, BITSILICA will significantly strengthen Quest Global’s capabilities across functional and formal verification, gate-level simulations, power-aware verification, validation, and emulation. This will further support Quest Global to solve highly complex engineering challenges for its automotive semiconductor clients.
