Mouser Electronics the authorised global distributor with the newest electronic components and industrial automation products, will showcase a range of interactive demonstrations and smart factory technologies at Advanced Factories 2026, taking place from 5–7 May in Barcelona, Spain.
At Hall 2, Stand F728, Mouser’s EMEA engineering team will provide insights into how industrial automation and Industry 5.0 technologies are being deployed, with a particular focus on the role of edge AI, machine vision, and connectivity in improving productivity and system performance.
A key attraction on the stand will be a robotic arm challenge developed in collaboration with onsemi and SEEED Studio. The demo is a tic-tac-toe game where visitors play directly against the robot, combining human interaction with real-time machine intelligence. The system uses a machine-vision model running on the SEEED Studio reComputer J4012 Edge AI Device, based on the NVIDIA Jetson Orin platform, to recognise objects and respond to movements in real time, demonstrating the increasing role of edge AI in industrial automation.
Additional demonstrations, including a Festo-based showcase focused on electric automation for factory and production applications, will further show how industrial automation technologies are applied in real-world settings.
Advanced Factories is a leading European event focused on improving manufacturing efficiency, sustainability, and competitiveness, bringing together the technologies and expertise shaping the future of smart and green production.
Mouser has also published its Engineers’ Guide to Advanced Factory Automation, outlining key technologies driving connected production, including the role of Soft PLCs, advances in robot software development, and approaches to securing industrial systems.
