RECOM has introduced the ROF-78K-0.5 series, a budget-friendly range of non-isolated switching regulators designed for wide-input applications. The regulators support an input voltage range of 4.5V to 36V DC and are available with fixed output voltages of 3.3V, 5V, 6.5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, and 24V DC, delivering up to 0.5A output current.
Housed in a compact surface-mount package, the devices achieve efficiencies of up to 95%. They can operate reliably across temperatures from -40°C to +95°C without performance derating and continue functioning at temperatures up to 105°C with reduced load conditions. The series also offers regulated outputs, short-circuit and over-current protection, input under-voltage lockout, and a remote on/off control feature for added flexibility.
Package size is just 12.5 x 13.5 x 4.5mm, and termination is pin-less SMD, with corner half-vias allowing optical inspection of the solder joints.
