The India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA), the leading industry body representing India’s electronics and semiconductor sector with more than 400 members, has warmly welcomed the Rajasthan Government’s forward-looking semiconductor and electronics policies along with the high-level industry interaction held at the Chief Minister’s Office in Jaipur.

IESA also extended appreciation for the presence and engagement of Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, the state’s Industries & Commerce Minister, and the Chief Secretary. According to the association, the strong coordination between the central and state governments reflects India’s growing determination to emerge as a global center for advanced, design-driven manufacturing. The direct discussions between policymakers and industry leaders are expected to strengthen collaboration and create a more business-friendly investment environment.

“It is deeply inspiring to witness state after state enthusiastically joining the nation’s historic semiconductor and electronics journey. Rajasthan’s newly launched Semiconductor Policy is a key milestone that injects tremendous momentum into the country’s collective mission. Driven by the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) and robust ESDM (Electronics System Design & Manufacturing) strategies, India has already achieved remarkable milestones. What started as a vision is now a rapidly scaling reality in which everyone is excited to join in, said Mr. Ahok Chandak, President of IESA.

Rajasthan is not starting from scratch; several pioneering electronics and semiconductor units are already fully operational in the state, including India’s first SME-led semiconductor packaging and testing facility in Bhiwadi. Crucially, the establishment of the Jodhpur – Pali – Marwar zone as a dedicated semiconductor corridor perfectly reflects the core sector pulse of moving from Sand to Silicon to Systems. This holistic policy framework ensures that the next wave of advanced manufacturing, dark factories, and AI-assisted chip design finds a thriving, sustainable home in Rajasthan.” Added Mr. Chandak.

IESA extends its heartiest congratulations to the Government of Rajasthan, RIICO, the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), and all the industry and government participants who contributed to making this high-level dialogue a resounding success.

An Invitation to Global Industry Leaders:

IESA strongly invites and encourages electronics manufacturers, semiconductor fabless design houses, OSAT/ATMP providers, and ecosystem startups to aggressively take advantage of the progressive incentives, electricity duty exemptions, stamp duty concessions, skilling incentives and ease of doing business unveiled by the Rajasthan Government.

As the apex industry body, IESA reaffirms its ironclad commitment to step up its efforts, work hand-in-hand with state authorities and RIICO, and mobilize its member network to drive strategic investments and supercharge the growth of the ESDM sector in Rajasthan and across Bharat.
