SAP Labs India and SRH University in Germany have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to extend their strategic educational partnership to India. The agreement sets up a collaborative framework for co-developing curricula, integrating SAP certifications, and offering industry-based learning experiences, aiming to bridge academia and enterprise technology and equip the next generation with advanced digital skills.
The MoU signing took place in Bengaluru, with Sindhu Gangadharan, Managing Director of SAP Labs India, and Dr. Thorsten Bagschik, Managing Director of SRH University, representing their institutions during the official visit of the Berlin Senate delegation to India.
The partnership builds on the SAP–SRH collaboration launched in Germany in December 2025 under the leadership of Andre Bechtold, President SAP Industries and Experiences, and extends the initiative to India, giving Indian students access to globally recognised enterprise technology credentials while embedding SAP expertise directly into university programmes.
The initiative reflects SAP’s broader learning transformation strategy, which focuses on meeting learners where they already are by integrating industry-relevant skills into academic environments. SAP aims to equip 12 million people with AI-ready skills by 2030, and collaborations with universities play an important role in building a strong global talent pipeline.
As part of the partnership, higher education students and faculty members will receive free access to SAP Learning Hub, student edition, including SAP learning content, practice systems, live sessions and up to two certification exam attempts per year. SAP is also redefining certification through practical, AI-enabled assessments that focus on real-world problem solving rather than memorization, enabling learners to develop skills that are directly applicable in enterprise environments.
By integrating SAP learning content and certification pathways directly into university programmes, the initiative will help build a sustainable pipeline of enterprise technology professionals equipped with the skills required to support digital transformation across industries.
Sindhu Gangadharan, Managing Director, SAP Labs India, said, “Industry and academia must work closely together to prepare talent for a rapidly evolving digital economy. By extending our partnership with SRH University to India, we are creating new opportunities for students to build enterprise technology skills that are directly relevant to the needs of global businesses. Initiatives like this are central to SAP’s ambition to equip 12 million people with AI-ready skills by 2030 and to build a strong pipeline of future-ready technology talent.”
Dr. Thorsten Bagschik, Managing Director, SRH University, said, “Our collaboration with SAP reflects our commitment to delivering education that is deeply connected to industry. By integrating SAP expertise and certifications into our programmes, we ensure that students graduate with skills that are immediately relevant in the global job market. Extending this partnership to India further strengthens the bridge between academic learning and real-world enterprise innovation.”
This partnership builds on SAP Labs India’s broader engagement with academia and skilling institutions to strengthen India’s digital talent ecosystem by building future-ready technology talent.
