Bourns, Inc. has introduced two new high-current common-mode choke models, the SRF1206A-501Y and SRF1206A-172Y, to expand their automotive-grade SRF1206A Series. These components offer engineers more options in terms of impedance and current capacity. Designed to provide high impedance across a broad frequency range, they are ideal for EMI suppression and noise filtering in automotive switch-mode power supplies, as well as in consumer and industrial applications.
Both models feature a monolithic ferrite core with a closed-loop magnetic path for excellent magnetic shielding, and their sector-wound coil design improves dielectric strength between windings. They offer impedance values from 500 to 1700 ohms, support currents up to 10 amps, and operate reliably in temperatures from -40°C to +125°C.
Available now through Bourns’ authorized distributors, these common-mode chokes comply with AEC-Q200 automotive standards, are RoHS compliant, and are produced without halogens.
