NeoCortec and Endrich Bauelemente Vertriebs GmbH have expanded their collaboration beyond distribution, with NeoCortec’s low-power, highly scalable NeoMesh wireless mesh networking technology now serving as the foundation of Endrich’s e-IoT platform. Designed to help industrial customers accelerate digital transformation, the platform integrates IoT nodes, intelligent sensors, gateway devices, and cloud-based services into a comprehensive connectivity solution.

NeoCortec’s NeoMesh wireless mesh networking protocol and software stack is ideally suited for powering smart sensor networks where each device is required to send and receive small packets of data infrequently but with high reliability. NeoMesh is optimized for ultra-low power operation, focusing on networks with many nodes, each of which is battery-powered. In such applications, NeoMesh enables the network to operate on small batteries for several years. Unlike most other mesh network technologies, NeoMesh is dynamic and scalable to thousands of nodes, with very few limits to network size or depth. It is also ‘self-healing’ since if a node fails, the system automatically re-routes the signal.

Endrich’s e-IoT platform includes many different smart sensor solutions including:

  •  Citybox 2.0 for smart city applications (environmental, transportation and infrastructure), e.g. air quality and traffic noise sensing, brightness control nodes for city streetlamps
  •  Elevator monitoring system
  •  NeoMesh cellular gateways for NeoMesh smart sensor nodes with prepaid connectivity
  •  Digital and analog NeoMesh smart sensor nodes for temperature, humidity, ambient light, door opening, and AC voltage presence detection
  •  Soil sensors for soil moisture and nutrient sensing
  •  RS485 DIN-rail-mounted IoT NeoMesh gateway for refrigerator temperature control
  •  Dataloggers for refrigeration continuously monitor temperature and key operational parameters to ensure food safety, energy efficiency, and regulatory compliance
  •  Cellular dataloggers seamlessly integrated into the refrigerator door lightbar monitor door-opening events, temperature, and humidity
  •  e-zeroBatteryZone enabling maintenance-free IoT systems without any batteries through energy harvesting and ultra-low-power design
